How far can the Shark TurboBlade project air?

The fan projects air up to 20 metres when operating in Boost mode. This makes it highly effective for large rooms, open-plan spaces and areas where you need powerful air circulation. The projection distance varies depending on the speed setting, with lower speeds providing more localised cooling and higher speeds reaching maximum distance.

What are the noise levels at different speed settings?

The fan operates at just 40dB on speed setting 1, making it extremely quiet for night-time use or when you need minimal noise. As you increase the speed settings, the noise level gradually increases, but remains relatively quiet compared to traditional blade fans. Even at higher speeds, the bladeless design significantly reduces the whooshing noise typically associated with conventional fans.

How does the dual-direction cooling feature work?

The adjustable vents can be twisted to direct airflow in two different directions simultaneously. This means you can cool multiple areas or people at once without moving the entire fan. For example, you could direct air towards a sofa and dining area at the same time, or cool yourself whilst also circulating air towards another part of the room.

What height adjustments are available?

In horizontal mode, the fan adjusts from 80cm to 96cm in height with an 80cm width. When positioned vertically, it extends from 112cm to 128cm tall. This flexibility allows you to position the airflow at the optimal height for your seating arrangement, bed height, or room configuration. The telescopic mechanism locks securely at any position within these ranges.

How easy is it to clean and maintain?

The bladeless design features a smooth, wipe-clean surface that requires minimal maintenance. The DustDefence filter can be easily removed, washed and replaced. There are no traditional blades to clean around, making maintenance much simpler than conventional fans. Regular filter cleaning maintains optimal performance and air quality.

What specialty modes are included?

The fan includes three specialty modes: Sleep mode provides gentle, consistent airflow perfect for night-time use; Boost mode delivers maximum cooling power for hot conditions; and Breeze mode simulates natural wind patterns with variable airflow. These modes complement the 10 standard speed settings to provide precise control over your cooling experience.

How does the timer function work?

The timer can be set for 1, 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours of operation before automatically switching off. This feature is particularly useful for night-time cooling, allowing the fan to run for a set period whilst you sleep, then turn off automatically. It also helps save energy when you want cooling for a specific duration.

Is the remote control easy to store and use?

The remote control features a magnetic backing that attaches securely to the top of the fan unit, preventing loss and ensuring it's always within reach. The remote provides full control over all fan functions including speed settings, oscillation, timer and specialty modes. AAA batteries are included, so you can start using it immediately upon setup.
